The Pennies for the Pool Committee is a group of individuals dedicated to the implementation of a plan for and the allocation of funds for a new aquatic/pool facility to serve the community of Marengo. Our Current pool was built in 1975. The average lifespan of this type of pool is 20-25 years. Given these facts, our pool is long overdue for replacement. We would like to invite everyone who cares about saving and rebuilding the Marengo Municipal Pool to contribute their time, ideas, and funding to this project. It is a wonderful place of summertime enjoyment for our community's children and adults alike. If you grew up in Marengo, chances are, you learned to swim at the city pool. Please consider a monetary donation of whatever amount you are able to give.
