The Marengo Recreation Commission (MRC) is organized through Chapter 24 of Marengo Municipal Code. The commission consists of seven (7) board members and a managing director. Members serve for three (3) year terms and must be residents of the Iowa Valley Community School District. They are subject to mayoral appointment and approval by city council.
MRC’s purpose is to provide youth recreational activities for the Marengo area. Sports offered include volleyball, flag football, soccer, wrestling, basketball, softball, and baseball.
